Project Lead – Civils (9 month FTC) – West Midlands
Salary: Up to £48k
Overview
We are looking for a Project Lead to play a pivotal role in the integration of new assets into our clients expanding light rail network. The project lead will be responsible for supporting the safe, compliant and efficient transition of new infrastructure into Business As Usual operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead discipline representative for the integration of new assets into the network.
* Ensure assets are operationally ready, compliant, and effectively handed over
* Gain in-depth understanding of network-specific requirements, standards, and expectations.
* Act as the primary contact for all new discipline-specific assets.
* Conduct static infrastructure checks and testing to verify readiness for operations and training.
* Confirm installation completion against as-built drawings and technical specifications.
* Participate in walkthroughs, snagging inspections, and sign-off of assets.
* Coordinate familiarisation and training for operational and maintenance staff.
* Create or update maintenance schedules, procedures, and instructions in line with manufacturer guidance and operational needs.
* Collate, review, and hand over Health & Safety File data with admin and Agility support teams.
* Support the Infrastructure Manager, Asset Handover Coordinator, and Technical Officer to ensure smooth transition of assets into ownership.
* Ensure all assets are registered and configured correctly in the Agility asset management system with the correct hierarchy, tasking, and scheduling.
* Support development or amendment of policies and procedures to address new risks or operational changes.
About You
* Demonstrable experience in Civils Infrastructure.
* Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, asset inspection, and rail/light rail safety regulations.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Experience in operational readiness, static testing, and staff familiarisation activities.
* Familiarity with asset management systems (e.g., Agility or similar CMMS).
* Experience in infrastructure handover, extension, or commissioning projects (desirable).
* Knowledge of Health & Safety File requirements under CDM regulations (desirable).
