Pensions & Payroll Finance Manager (6 months FTC)

Description:
Reporting to the Head of Transactional Finance, the Pensions & Payroll Finance Manager will provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial information to the pension scheme Trustees and serve as a key contact for Trustees, Pensions Secretary, Payroll, and Finance teams.
This role offers the opportunity to influence perceptions of finance within the company and demonstrate the value of proactive, forward-thinking management information.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare Pension Scheme Trustee Reports & Statutory Accounts: Complete reports and financial statements, including all notes, ensuring compliance with SORP.
2. Complete HMRCReturns and ONS Surveys: Ensure timely submission within required deadlines.
3. Manage Financial Transactions: Oversee transaction integrity, documentation, posting, and maintenance of pension scheme accounts, including investments.
4. Provide FRS102 Calculations: Deliver annual financial statement calculations for companies with investments in the scheme.
5. Manage Life Insurance Schemes: Handle management and renewals of life insurance schemes.
6. Financial Accounting for Payroll: Ensure accurate payroll cost accounting, reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts, and correct deductions and payments to HMRC and employee benefit providers.
Your Profile:
* Experience in pension scheme accounting is essential.
* Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
* Experience in engaging with key stakeholders, auditors, and professionals via meetings, calls, and written communication.
