Justice Social Worker – Domestic Abuse Services

Salary: £36, - £42, per year
Hours: 36 per week

We offer a high level of training to support continuous professional development and to deliver a broad range of interventions, including established, accredited, group work programmes. We are proud of our innovative practice and are implementing Trauma Informed Care (in line with the National Education for Scotland National Trauma Training Programme), Safe & Together™and Restorative Justice practice models and interventions across our services.
We are seeking a social worker to join our dedicated, professional, and supportive Domestic Abuse Service working with men who are subject to statutory supervision or attending on a voluntary basis. The post holder will undertake a wide range of tasks including:
- Direct work with men placed on Community Payback Orders or who engage on a voluntary basis
- Co-facilitation of groupwork (i.e. accredited Caledonian Men's Programme) - this is likely to include some evening work
- Court assessment and report writing
- Taking a lead role in risk management, contributing to safety planning for women and children
The work of Domestic Abuse Services is informed by a knowledge and understanding of complex trauma and its impact.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an understanding of National Outcomes and Standards and public protection, be willing to work in a dynamic environment and to contribute to an inclusive culture that values and respects diversity and lived experience.
Candidates will have a degree in Social Work and be registered, or eligible to register, with the SSSC.
