West Lancashire Borough Council is seeking an experienced Development Control Manager as maternity cover for a 12 month period for the current post holder to lead the Development Management team and ensure the delivery of a high-quality, legally compliant planning service. You will oversee complex and strategic planning casework, manage performance, support staff development, and represent the Council at Planning Committee, public meetings and inquiries. The role also contributes to policy development, Local Plan work, enforcement oversight and continuous service improvement.
