Job Description:
Stocks AG are looking for a self-motivated, innovative CAD Designer and Technical Engineer. Ideally with a background within the manufacturing sector. You will be working within the product development team, reporting to the Technical Director and supporting the manufacturing department as well as providing technical support to customers and dealers at busy times of the year.
Responsibilities:
* CAD Design work to enhance and develop the existing range of applicators and wheels
* Control and management of drawing revision and storage.
* CAM support for the production department
* Writing and updating Operators and parts books and ensuring standards and CE/UKCA compliance
Required Experience and Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in a design environment
* Competent in the use of CAD (Solidworks or other drawing packages)
* Experience creating Manufacturing drawings
* A high level of mechanical and engineering knowledge
* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
Key skills required in this role:
* Good communication skills – be able to communicate at all levels throughout the business and articulate technical solutions over the phone
* Experience in sheet metal work and design
* Production engineering experience within a sheet metal fabrication sector
* A full understanding of sheet metal flat pattern development and bend allowance data.
* The ability to present and explain ideas and information clearly to colleagues and managers.
* The ability and desire to work effectively as part of a team
* A proven ability to work alone and utilise your initiative when presented with problems.
* Problem-solving – an ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to problems.
Advantageous additional Skills and Knowledge - not essential
* Knowledge of Agriculture and associated machinery
* Experience working with CAM systems
