Job Title: Paediatric Complex Carer

Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Complex Carer to provide one-to-one care for a child with complex health needs. The ideal candidate will be confident in advanced clinical care tasks, including deep suctioning and ventilation management, while delivering safe, person-centred care that supports the child’s wellbeing, comfort, and development.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care for a child with complex medical needs in the home environment.
* Safely perform deep suctioning and ventilation monitoring in line with care plans.
* Administer medication and maintain accurate care records.
* Support the child’s daily routine, including personal care, feeding, mobility, and activities.
* Accompany the child to appointments, school, or therapy sessions where required.
* Respond calmly and effectively to any medical emergencies.
* Work collaboratively with family members, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
* Ensure the child’s dignity, safety, and comfort at all times.
Requirements
* Proven experience in paediatric complex care.
* Competency in deep suctioning and ventilation care (essential).
* Knowledge of PEG feeding, seizure management, and medication administration (desirable).
* Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable with a child-centred approach.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule
* Shifts based in Watford.
* Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - 7:30am - 5:30pm
