Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day focus is delivering designs, drawings, information, calculations and enhancements that keep vital, innovative and large‑budget projects moving. The role ensures assets are safe, working and compliant; develops own solutions; and serves as a trusted source of engineering advice for stakeholders, including Heads of Engineering Delivery.
Qualifications
A Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering degree, and either membership or applied membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or The Geological Society. Proven experience in geotechnical inspection, ground investigation, monitoring, assessment, design and stabilisation of earth structures; design of foundations, retaining walls and earthworks in railway and road environments, preferably within the TfL network or other major UK transport infrastructure. Knowledge of relevant legislation, technical standards and industry best practice. Proficiency in Slope/W essential; familiarity with Wallap, Repute, Palxis or similar software desirable.
