With a roll of more than 1,000 students, we work collaboratively and inclusively to inspire our active, connected, and deep-thinking learners. At our core is the Riccarton Way and the associated values of Manawanui (commitment), Ngākaupono (honesty), Manaakitanga (respect), and Kairangi (excellence).
We require an enthusiastic teacher to teach maths to our learners. This is a full-time, permanent role, commencing at the beginning of the 2026 school year. Knowledge in senior calculus and/or statistics would be an advantage.
Riccarton High School has a non-traditional pedagogy for teaching Level 2 and 3 Mathematics and Statistics. Students are all working towards their individual senior Maths goals using a variety of media that best suit the student. This is a highly data-driven model to allow studentsto find the most success they are able, as well as learn skills that will prepare them for life after school. More information is available through the NZAMT Conference Resources from our presentation at the 2025 conference.
If you are interested in joining a forward-thinking school that encourages students to care, create and excel, we would welcome your application.
