Contract Manager – Facilities Management
Location: Leicester
Are you an experienced Contract Manager looking to take ownership of a high-profile site with a leading FM services provider?
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and commercially astute leader to take the reins of a large, dynamic contract, delivering high-quality hard services across a complex site.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the day-to-day management of the engineering and supervisory team, ensuring service delivery meets contract SLAs and KPIs.
* Take ownership of operational performance, financial reporting, and compliance across the contract portfolio.
* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activity, ensuring effective scheduling and completion through both direct labour and subcontractors.
* Ensure robust management of WIP, aged debt, and commercial controls, supporting profitability targets.
* Develop strong relationships with the client, acting as the key point of contact and driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
* Provide regular performance reporting, team reviews, and structured staff development (including appraisals and disciplinary processes).
* Promote and uphold health & safety policies, ensuring full compliance with legislation and internal audit standards.
* Drive innovation and identify opportunities for service and process improvements.
* Support the Account Manager with business development and strategic planning across the portfolio.
We’re looking for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and experience managing high-value, complex FM contracts.
Essential:
*
Time-served engineering background (electrical or mechanical discipline)
*
Proven experience managing large engineering teams in a client-facing role
*
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent H&S knowledge)
*
Advanced knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)
*
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
*
IT literate (Excel & Microsoft Office – Intermediate to Advanced)
Desirable:
* 18th Edition IEE
* NEBOSH Fire Certificate
* Refrigerant Handling or ACS Gas Safe qualifications
* Experience managing contracts within a retail/shopping centre environment
