Paralegal - Specialist Liability at DAC Beachcroft

DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint a Paralegal to join our Claims Solutions Group (CSG) Specialist Liability team. The successful candidate will be expected to attend the office when required.
What you will do
 * Draft chronologies, statements and court documents
 * Assist with disclosure of sensitive documentation including redaction
 * Ensure appropriate key dates reminders are in place on all matters
 * Maintain a timetable to enable the progression of the case to resolution
 * Maintain internal and external case management documents
 * Record timely and accurate management information
 * Maintain an awareness of the firm's strategies and plans
 * Correspond and communicate with clients, third parties and claimants’ solicitors to ensure the progression of the case to resolution
 * Attend trials and applications with Counsel
 * Comply with internal and external service level agreements
 * Handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols
 * Develop technical knowledge through completing online courses, attending training sessions and reading appropriate publications
 * Liaise with accounts on billing queries
 * Support marketing and business development activity within the team
 * Achieve a minimum budgeted annual target of 1,440 chargeable hours per year
 * Meet individual financial targets
Who you are
Essential
 * Keen interest and enthusiasm in Specialist Liability work, particularly high value, complex and sensitive cases
 * Excellent organisational and IT skills to produce and manage complex documentation
 * Detail conscious and able to produce work to a high standard for demanding clients
 * Ability to dig into document-heavy and complex cases to extract relevant evidence and data
 * Sympathy and empathy for the public sector clients
 * Team player with flexible and self‑motivated approach
 * Ability to work on own initiative as well as with supervisors and other department members
Desirable
 * Good commercial awareness
 * Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, occasionally outside core hours
 * Experience in a target‑driven commercial environment
 * Previous experience of dealing with Specialist Liability claims (helpful but not essential)
