Opportunity to join a local authority in Hertfordshire as a temporary Damp and Mould Surveyor on a three-month temporary contract. This role supports the council'smitment to ensuring safe, healthy and well-maintained homes for residents.
Your new role
As the Damp and Mould Surveyor you will be responsible for carrying out detailed property inspections, diagnosing causes of damp and mould and rmending effective remedial actions. The postholder will work closely with tenants, contractors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues andpliance with relevant housing standards. This role is offered on an initial three-month contract, with the potential to extend.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you will have a strong understanding of building pathology, particularly damp and mould diagnostics, and should have experience working within a housing environment. You should be able tomunicate technical information effectively to both professionals and residents and should befortable managing a varied caseload. A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is required for this role.
