Job Title: Registration Officer
Temporary 6‑month contract (part‑time, 22.2 hours per week). Grade 6, £28,598‑£31,022 (pro‑rata).
We are seeking an experienced Registration Officer to work on 3 days per week, including every Saturday, on a temporary 6‑month contract. Attendance for ceremonies may be required on some Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Locations
* Dudley Register Office (Priory Hall)
* Stourbridge Registration Office (Thomas Robinson Building)
* Coseley Family Hub, Stourbridge Family Hub
* Approved Premises and Registered Buildings within the Borough
Key Responsibilities
* Register marriages and civil partnerships; officiate ceremonies and provide non‑statutory services such as naming and vow renewal.
* Register births and deaths, take notices of marriage and other functions commensurate with the role.
* Attend registrations and ceremonies at approved premises and registered buildings across the borough.
* Provide birth registration service at Family Hubs.
Qualifications & Skills
* Previous registration experience.
* Minimum education: GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
* Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and strong accuracy.
* Flexibility to adapt to different roles and tasks and ability to work on short notice.
