Shift Managers work alongside General and Assistant Managers to ensure each shift meets operational standards and provides an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Lead from the front and be hands‑on on the line and dining area.
* Support the General Manager in delivering perfect burgers and fries and providing an “above & beyond” experience for the team and customers.
* Create a positive working environment where people are happy to work and align with the company values: Competitive, Enthusiastic, Family, Get It Done, and Integrity.
* Ensure every customer is delighted with their order and the Five Guys experience – handle complaints promptly and honestly.
* Ensure each shift runs smoothly, with the company values embedded in shift management.
What You Bring to the Table
* At least one year of management experience in a high‑volume hospitality or QSR environment.
* Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction, engagement, and excellent Mystery Shopper results.
* Financial acumen – manage crew breaks, minimize food waste, and deploy the team during rush periods.
* Natural motivator who enjoys being hands‑on and leads by example.
* Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards and ability to enforce them on the line.
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
