We are looking for two enthusiastic and committed Housing Options Officers to join our busy Housing Options team. You will play a vital role in preventing homelessness, providing high-quality advice, and supporting households to secure safe and sustainable housing solutions. You will be joining a team dedicated to delivering a compassionate, professional, and proactive service to residents facing housing difficulties.
Responsibilities
* Providing detailed housing advice under the Homelessness Reduction Act.
* Assessing homelessness applications and making sound, evidence-based decisions.
* Working creatively to prevent and relieve homelessness through early intervention and support.
* Managing a caseload effectively while maintaining accurate records and case notes.
* Building strong relationships with partner agencies, landlords, and support organisations.
* Signposting and referring customers to relevant services to promote positive, sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications
* Five GCSEs at Grade 4 (or equivalent) including English Language.
* Experience of working in a homeless or housing support service.
* Customer service skills including experience of dealing with members of the public and the ability to work sensitively with vulnerable people.
