Nursery: Bright Horizons Goldhawk Road Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary: Starting from £29,845.20 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
Location: Shepherds Bush, West London
We have a very exciting opportunity for a full time, qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Goldhawk Road Day Nursery and Preschool situated in Shepherds Bush, ready for its grand opening Spring 2024!
The nursery will be a stunning 84 place setting in a beautifully converted town house, which will feature spacious rooms and 3 separate garden areas, perfect for plenty of outdoor teaching and learning! It has great public transport links, being only a short walk from the Goldhawk Road underground station (on the circle and Hammersmith and City lines), as well as some onsite parking.
We have several other Bright Horizons settings in close proximity, meaning you will be able to join us before the nursery opens if you would like to, and work in another setting until the opening later in the year.

What you’ll be doing
11. Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
12. Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
13. Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
14. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
15. Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
16. Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis
What we’re looking for
17. Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
18. Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
19. Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
20. Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
21. Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
22. Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
