Learning Support Assistant – Mainstream School (Primary & Secondary)
Location: StowmarketHours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–16:30Rate: £14 per hourLunch Provided
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people in their education?We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream school located just outside Stowmarket. You’ll be working across both primary and secondary age groups, helping students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
About the Role
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with varying needs.
* Assist teachers in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Support students with their learning, communication, and classroom engagement.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
What We’re Looking For
* SEN experience is preferred but not essential – the school values the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
* An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service is preferred (or willingness to obtain one).
* A friendly, patient, and proactive approach.
* Someone reliable, supportive, and passionate about helping young people succeed.
Travel Requirements
The school is not accessible via public transport, so you must be a driver or able to reach the school by alternative means.
