At Benridge, we are searching for a Deputy Manager to join our team. The Deputy Manager will report to the Registered Manager and be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the home. The role requires working closely with the Management Team across the Group to provide a high standard of care and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care is provided to all residents.
* Accountable for the home's governance, operations and activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.
* Guarantee that all legal, regulatory and contractual standards are met and exceeded.
* Ensure all policies, procedures and systems are in place.
* Ensure staff have the skills and competencies required to provide a developmental focus for the home.
* Provide effective supervision and support to the team.
* Provide input for recruitment, appointment and deployment of all staff, liaising with HR and Recruitment.
* Represent the home effectively and work with local service providers.
* Develop an ethos that reflects respect for each individual's rights, opinions and beliefs in a safe, dementia‑friendly environment.
* Act as ambassador for the home, ensuring strong communication channels.
* Manage staff in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Manage occupancy levels, including networking, advertising and building relationships with other professionals.
* Provide staff cover in accordance with the requirements of the Registered Manager.
* Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, residents and families.
* Ensure effective referral protocols and practices are in place and adhered to.
* Maintain a safe environment for residents, responding to all health and safety requirements.

Qualifications
* Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Essential Experience
* A minimum of 2 years managing a team within a care home setting.
* Relevant experience supervising staff and coordinating support provisions.
* Experience working with people aged 65 and above.
* Specialist knowledge of the latest care standards and legislation.
Desirable Experience
* Experience working with residents living with dementia.
