Description We're Hiring: Procurement Category Manager (Technology/IT) Location: Birmingham preferred (Glasgow, London, Leeds, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, or Manchester considered) Role Overview Here at Pinsent Masons we bring together the best people to get the job done. Our people are our success, and we work as one team. We are recruiting Procurement Category Manager for Technology & IT categories. The team currently comprises of a Director of Strategic Sourcing, Head of Procurement, three Procurement Category Managers, a data analyst and a Head of Commercial Contracts, three Contracts Lawyers and a dedicated administrative coordinator. All permanent roles. Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests. Candidate Overview We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience: Develop and execute category strategies for Technology/IT and InfoSec Lead high-value, high-risk procurement activities (tenders, negotiations, renewals) Collaborate with the IT Leadership Team to align procurement with business goals Embed ESG and supplier diversity into sourcing decisions Provide market intelligence and insights Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities through spend analysis Support contract and supplier relationship management (SRM) Contribute to procurement best practices and capability building 5 years’ experience in procurement (ideally MCIPS qualified) 2–3 years’ experience in Technology/IT and InfoSec procurement Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills Proven ability to build relationships across diverse teams Experience with SRM frameworks and contract management Excellent communication, influencing, and project management skills What happens next? The first stage is typically conducted virtually and the second stage typically in person at the office in which the role would be based.
