About us:
Join the Airbus Technical Data organisation, a transnational team committed to supporting our worldwide customers and keeping their fleets flying safely and efficiently. We are responsible for producing and delivering all Line maintenance products and assisting customers with any issues that arise during maintenance operations.
The Fuel & Landing Gear Systems Team plays a crucial role in this mission. We are responsible for the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) for ATA 28 (Fuel) and ATA 32 (Landing Gear) systems across all Airbus programs.
Our work goes beyond just documentation. We capture every design change to ensure that maintenance manuals accurately reflect the exact configuration of each delivered aircraft. More importantly, our mission involves supporting our customers throughout the entire aircraft lifecycle. This means we have daily contact with clients, providing them with essential technical data and guidance for their maintenance operations.
This is a great opportunity to join our Filton-based team, where you will be responsible for creating and providing key technical data maintenance manuals, including the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Trouble Shooting Manual (TSM), and Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC).
What you will be doing:
Ready to make a real impact? As part of our team, you'll have the chance to work in an experienced and collaborative environment, focusing on technical data for both new aircraft coming off the production line and those already in service.
This is a truly transnational role, offering you the opportunity to work with teams in France, Germany, Spain, and India.
You will be empowered to play a key role in developing optimal solutions and will have the chance to own and drive smaller projects from concept to completion. You will also be part of an early careers community to support your professional development.
As an Airbus intern with our team, you will work on key areas such as:
* Identification of in-service issues;
* Definition of prioritization and solution shaping;
* Feasibility analysis and risk assessment;
* Configuration management;
* Continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., process improvements);
* Knowledge capture;
* Quality and problem-solving;
* Future ways of working (e.g., new integrated tools).
The team will provide you with a challenging, exciting, and rewarding experience, with learning opportunities that will build your knowledge of both aircraft topics (UK) and non-aircraft topics like methods and processes. You will gain experience and training on a variety of different toolsets, from bespoke Airbus tools to industry-standard engineering and management software.
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.
Your application should include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role.
