About the Role: Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
Joining their highly-skilled team based in the Southwest of the UK, you'll take on the role of a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Design, you'll assist the Design team with both existing & new product development.
Responsibilities:
* Designing existing & new seating products in SOLIDWORKS.
* Creating 2D drawings for manufacturing.
* Performing 3D modelling & visualisation for manufacturing.
* Assisting with improvements on existing product drawings & specifications.
* Communicating with the sales team, providing design & drawing presentations as needed.
Requirements:
For Graduates:
* Degree in design engineering, product design, or mechanical engineering.
* Strong understanding of SOLIDWORKS.
* UK Driver's license.
For Experienced Design Engineers:
* 1-2 years' experience in New Product Design within manufacturing or construction industries.
* Degree in design engineering, product design, or mechanical engineering.
* Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS & AutoCAD for mechanical product development.
* Excellent CAD / 3D modelling skills.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes like steel fabrication, plastic injection moulding, casting & finishing techniques.
Package:
* Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE)
