The Project Curzon Street station is a new £800m HS2 project in Birmingham city centre. The station development, whilst forming part of the new HS2 network between London and the North, will provide a catalyst for development across the East side of Birmingham. As a leading station, Curzon Street strives to provide a centre of excellence for the development of best practice reporting and management models. Responsibilities · Responsible for establishing and managing all engineering processes and plans with assistance from respective function engineers. · Work closely with the delivery teams (PMs, CMs etc) to ensure that there is good understanding of engineering requirements. · Working closely with the PM, CDM and CSM teams, ensure all residual risks are managed and, if required, transferred accordingly. · Maintain close collaboration with the client and attend regular construction and Temp Works assurance meetings. · Responsible for confirming overall acceptability of the constructed works deemed to have been built in accordance with approved design. · Participate in audits – both internal and external. · Manage engineering interface with Network Rail. · Act as CEM/CRE. Approve all Work Package Plans and other engineering documents for submission to Network Rail.
