We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Interim Compensation Analyst to jump in and support our commission processes during a critical transition period. This project is hands-on (Excel-heavy) and will require you to manage the manual processes short-term while automation is being built.
What You'll Do:
* Create commission deal summaries and reconcile discrepancies between sales data, manager expectations, and payroll outputs
* Extract and analyze data across 10–20 sales datasets, covering 120+ reps across 30 entities
* Work directly with sales managers to clarify issues and resolve commission-related questions
* Maintain and troubleshoot manual processes while we build out a long-term automated solution
* Ensure alignment between calculated commissions and what’s been processed by payroll
* Manage ad hoc reconciliation and issue resolution as needed
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in commission or compensation analysis, within a software/SaaS company
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, etc.) and comfort with messy or incomplete data
* A “get-it-done” mindset — we don’t need strategy, we need accuracy, reliability, and execution
* Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of reliability
* Empathy and patience – you'll be dealing with salespeople’s pay
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
