Job Overview
This role is a starting point to understand our organisation and the people working here; it introduces you to Learning and Organisational Development, providing insight into the organisation as a whole. The team works closely across the Trust to support development, staff voice, and recognition of teams and individuals.
No two days are the same! Responsibilities include administrative support, organising meetings and training, booking staff onto courses, participating in engagement activities, and working as part of the Learning from Excellence team.
We seek someone comfortable multitasking in a busy environment, with good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills, confident communication, and the ability to build strong relationships and meet deadlines. If you're seeking a new challenge and enjoy varied work, we welcome your application.
Main Duties
1. Provide day-to-day office support to the Learning and Organisational Development team.
2. General admin tasks: first point of contact, photocopying, stationery, room bookings, diary management.
3. Use of NHS internal systems for information management.
4. Support engagement, marketing, and communication activities, including designing and distributing promotional materials, managing social media, and online engagement.
5. Assist in ensuring departmental compliance with Trust policies and monitor compliance across the directorate, including managing sickness, absence, and leave records.
6. Maintain personal and professional development, keeping up-to-date with relevant laws and policies.
7. Support the development and implementation of HR policies and participate in related activities.
8. Communicate effectively with staff at all levels and foster collaborative relationships.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Proven Business Administration Level 2 or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Strong relationship-building skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
* Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
Aptitude & Abilities
* Effective team player and self-initiator.
* Ability to handle routine and complex tasks with accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills across various mediums.
Disposition and Motivation
* Self-motivated, trustworthy, adaptable, and confident in engaging with people.
