Are you an experienced Internal Auditor ready to take your career to the next level in a dynamic FMCG environment?
We are recruiting on behalf of a client for an Internal Auditor to lead risk-based operational and financial audits across franchise markets in Africa. This role offers the chance to influence compliance, loss prevention, and governance while working closely with diverse stakeholders across multiple business units.
Key duties:
1. Execute risk-based audits across franchisees, equity-owned restaurants, and regional business units
2. Conduct financial health assessments and loss prevention audits
3. Maintain internal audit databases and support statutory audit and SOX compliance
4. Prepare monthly VAT returns and assist with financial statement processes
5. Develop and implement improved audit processes in line with governance frameworks
6. Communicate audit findings and work collaboratively with operational teams to address risks
Ideal candidate profile:
7. 3 to 5 years’ experience in internal auditing or finance within FMCG or related sectors
8. Strong skills in financial statement analysis, audit techniques, and report writing
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs)
10. Ability to travel regularly across South Africa and Africa
11. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting preferred
12. Membership with professional bodies such as IIA, SAICA, or SAIPA advantageous
13. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in handling challenging conversations
