Our key clients include Bute Energy, East West Rail, EET Fuels, Eni UK, National Gas, SSE, Scottish Power Renewables, Southern Water, United Utilities, Yorkshire Water, and more. We employ highly skilled consenting specialists with experience in energy, renewables, nuclear, water, rail, transportation, and aviation sectors.
We seek experienced town planners or consents specialists to lead consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects, including securing approvals via the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008, and other regimes such as Planning (Wales) Act 2015, Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, Transport and Works Act, or Electricity Act.
Responsibilities include:
1. Leading consenting processes for major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs, etc.).
2. Providing technical advice to clients and managing their consenting requirements.
3. Coordinating preparation and submission of consent applications under relevant Acts.
4. Acting as Project Director for projects managed by the Infrastructure Planning and Engagement team.
5. Leading negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders.
6. Acting as Planning Expert Witness at DCO examinations and hearings.
7. Supporting business growth and pursuing new work opportunities.
8. Mentoring colleagues in project delivery.
Qualifications and experience:
* Degree in town planning or equivalent.
* Member or eligible for RTPI membership.
* Strong understanding of project finances and project management experience, ideally within a consultancy.
