We’re looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to provide expert guidance and practical support across our UK and Republic of Ireland markets, helping us meet our legal obligations while strengthening a positive, proactive safety culture.
In this role, you’ll act as a trusted adviser to managers and employees, supporting safe systems of work, identifying and managing risk, and ensuring our policies, training, and practices reflect both legislation and VELUX standards.
You’ll play a key role in incident investigation, emergency planning, and continuous improvement, using insight and data to help drive meaningful change.
You’ll also spend time on site, carrying out inspections and audits, working closely with teams and contractors, and providing clear, practical advice on safe working practices.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys influencing, coaching, and making safety part of everyday work—not just a process.
You will be based in Glenrothes and some travel must be expected.
What you will bring
First and foremost strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
Experience in a logistics, technical service, or similar technical environment preferred, but not required.
You have excellent communication and influencing skills combined with an analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites in a must for success in this role.
Following qualifications are needed:
1. NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent.
2. IOSH membership (TechIOSH or above) desirable.
3. Additional fire safety, first aid, or environmental qualifications are an advantage.
