What Youll Do:
Work with the senior kitchen team to ensure dishes are consistently delivered to a high standard within your section
Lead by example, coaching and developing CDPs and Commis Chefs to elevate their skills
Regularly check your section for standards, completing all necessary audits and temperature checks
Take ownership of stock control and stocktakes, feeding back key information to the Head Chef
Anticipate pinch points in service and communicate them proactively to your line manager
Support the senior team with basic kitchen reporting and operational updates
Collaborate closely with the restaurant team to ensure smooth coordination between front and back of house
Communicate menu changes and specials clearly to the wider team
Demonstrate strong planning, organisation, and time management to drive smooth daily execution
Ensure full adherence to company policies, due diligence, cleanliness, and HSE standards
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, highlighting any issues to the senior chefs
What Were Looking For:
Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef (or strong Sous ready to step up) in a quality restaurant
A genuine passion for food, ingredients, and delivering a polished guest experience
A supportive, hands-on leader who enjoys teaching and developing others
Evidence of stable career progression and longevity with previous employers
Strong understanding and application of Food Safety standards
