Job Description
On behalf of Rolls Royce, Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting a Fitter to work at the Rolls Royce site in Derby.
We are looking for experience with traditional hand skills such as flattening, straightening, fettling, and intricate grinding.
Role details:
* Role title – Fitter
* Contract duration – 12 months
* Contract type – PAYE via Umbrella – INSIDE IR35
* Hours – 37 hours/week, split between Nights, Afters, and Days (overtime available)
* Location – Rolls Royce (Raynesway)
Key responsibilities include:
* Working from technical drawings in ISO and ASME formats to produce high-quality, compliant parts
* Applying traditional hand skills such as flattening, straightening, fettling, and grinding
* Using inspection techniques to assess and verify parts against manufacturing drawings
* Utilizing engineering knowledge to seek solutions and improve processes
* Working within time constraints to meet business needs
Candidate Profile
Skills and experience required:
* Time-served engineering apprenticeship with NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* Experience in fitting and/or fabrication
* Proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
