Where will you be working?
Our Rail team manages a wide range of specialist rail engineering works and projects, delivering civils, track, power, electrical solutions, and station structures across all rail routes in the UK.

What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of our Nursling Depot, including the storage and movement of Goods In and Out, electrical and mechanical components, materials, and occupational plant used by operational delivery teams for reactive and project work.
You will manage the movement of materials, plant, and PPE efficiently, demonstrate good administrative practices and communication, investigate stock or plant discrepancies, undertake spot Van checks, and report findings to the transport manager.
You will also be accountable for compliance and health and safety duties such as PPE deliveries and staff issues, and undertake waste management in line with ISO 14001 standards.
What you’ll bring
* Extensive experience in pre-construction stores environments, including operational and fleet supervisory knowledge
* Good knowledge of electrical components, plant, machinery, and testing & inspection
* Experience using a telehandler forklift
* Procurement experience and liaising with suppliers
* Stock management skills
* Strong administrative skills, including filing, goods receipting, and stock control
* Good communication skills
* Ability to adapt to business changes
* Compliance with GDPR regulations
* Fleet duties during interim periods, maintaining FORS requirements until transfer to MGS Fleet, and supporting MGS fleet operations
* Proficiency in IT
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and focus on business needs
