AIernance Lead – 12 months+ contract – 2–3 days on site near Heathrow/West Drayton – inside IR35 OverviewAs part of thepany's aspiration to be a leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) within our industry, we aremitted to harnessing the transformative potential of AI across our group. We recognise the significance of employing AI in a manner that is both safe and ethical. Consequently, we are seeking an AIernance Lead to join our team. This pivotal role will oversee AIernance (including Machine Learning, Operational Research, and Generative AI), develop and implement our AIernance framework, monitor and update our regulatory framework, and stay informed about the latest advancements in the AI field. The successful candidate will support us in balancing risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriateernance is established to deliver AI use cases in a safe, ethical, andpliant manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the AI Systems Register: Collaborating with key stakeholders across the group to, including OpCos, to secure their support andmitment in maintaining aplete, accurate and up-to-date AI systems register.
2. Develop and Implement AIernance Framework: Design and establish aprehensive AIernance framework that includes policies, procedures, and guidelines for the safe, ethical andpliant development, deployment, and use of AI systems.
3. Policy Enforcement: Collaborate closely with legal andpliance colleagues to enforce policies and procedures to promote the safe and ethical use of AI across the group.
4. Ethical Standards: Promote the ethical use of AI by establishing guidelines and best practices that address issues such as bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI systems.
5. Legislation and Best Practices Awareness: Stay informed about emerging AI legislation and industry best practices, integrating these into theernance framework.
6. Training Development: Partner with the central training and enablement team to co-create training programs to foster a culture of responsible AI use within the organisation.
7. Stakeholder Training and Guidance: Offer training and guidance to stakeholders on AIernance importance, legislative updates, and best practices.
8. Risk Assessment: Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and evaluate potential risks associated with AI solutions, whether developed in-house or acquired externally.
9. Risk Mitigation Support: Support product owners of AI solutions in implementing strategies and controls to mitigate potential adverse impacts of their AI solutions.
10. Audit Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact with external auditors during AIernance-related audits.
11. Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish mechanisms to continuously monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of AI systems. Implement feedback loops to ensure ongoing improvement and adherence toernance standards.
12. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of AIernance activities, decisions, and processes. Prepare regular reports for senior management and other stakeholders on the status and effectiveness of AIernance efforts.
Skills and Qualifications
13. Proven experience inerning AI solutions, epassing both internally developed and externally sourced solutions.
14. Proven expertise in stakeholder management, with the capability to engage and securemitment from diverse stakeholders.
15. Proficiency in developing and implementingernance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
16. Knowledgeable of AI legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at identifying and addressingernance andpliance issues.
18. Exceptionalmunication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
19. Meticulous attention to detail, with an emphasis on accuracy andpleteness.
20. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
21. Strong organizational and project managementpetencies.
22. Relevant certifications in AI, dataernance, or related fields are advantageous.
