What you'll be doing The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager of the Care and Support service across Cornwall, from the Oakland Mews Liskeard office and the Western Group Centre office in Scorrier. Your job will be to support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of Care & Support, Home Care provision ensuring the delivery of high –quality, person centred care to service users in their own homes, in accordance with CQC standards, company policies and all relevant legislation. Duties will include maintaining a strong performance management ethos, ensuring well led, quality interventions. To ensure that person centred services are developed and delivered in the most cost effective, quality conscious and resourceful manner. Supporting the delivery of KPIs and contract compliance as defined by external commissioners and internal Quality and Assurance About the role This is a leadership role that combines office-based management responsibilities with hands on care duties, when required. The deputy manager plays a vital role in staff supervision, care and support planning, client satisfaction and ensuring safe and effective service delivery. Support the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the service, in care/reablement service, ensuring standards of care and schedule of visits to clients are maintained in line with CQC standards, under the directions of the Registered Manager. As the deputy manager you will act as a positive role model for the care staff team, ensuring a high standard of care is delivered on a constant basis. Supervise and lead the team, managing rotas, communication to ensure the teams are fully conversant with their duties and take appropriate action to remedy any unsatisfactory performance Support the registered manager with the recruitment and retention of care staff, including identifying and training needs for staff. Carry our routine and bespoke tasks to ensure the service is complaint in the regulatory requirements of the CQC and internal governance. Conduct regular audits and spot checks to maintain quality and safety. You will support the registered manager to promote and grow the business, ensuring enough staff to deliver the service. Ensure all care is delivered in line with individual care/support plans and company procedures. Monitor, supervise, support and mentor the care team. Ensure the delivery of quality, person centred care for every client Ensure accurate, concise and timely records of care given and other administrative documents relating to the provision of care and support. To support with the monitoring of medication records and ensure medication is administered safety. Maintain high standards and ensure that the service is compliant with Health & Safety regulations. Respond to service user concerns to complaints promptly and professionally. Liaise with external professionals, individuals and families as required to ensure that the needs of the people supported are reviewed regularly and plans developed so that we can continue to meet their needs. To support the Team in covering care calls in an emergency/sickness absence ensuring care does not break. Ensure all documentation relevant to those who use our service is accurate and up-to-date at all times. Support and enable access to, and work collaboratively with, other social care and health professionals. Remain in-date for all mandatory training and demonstrate competence in the role when required to do so. To promote and adhere to Corserv Care’s values at all times. The following qualifications and experience are essential: Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards Minimum 2 years’ experience within the social care industry Have experience and a strong understanding of operating a reablement or domiciliary care service Fully computer literate with excellent admin and staff management skills Possess a strong working knowledge of CQC Regulations and care standards. Knowledge of safeguarding and manual handling best practices Reliable with good attention to detail Dynamic, ambitious and hard working Adept at managing and directing people in a fast-paced changing environment Caring and compassionate Excellent communication and organisational skills Self-motivated and flexible. Ability to lead and support a care team Passionate about providing a high standard of care and making a difference Our offer to you: Salary: £26,790 - £36,647 depending on skills and experience.
