Job Title: Customer Service Operative (CSO) – Domestic Gas Department
Location: Cheam (Call Centre-based)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm + 1 Saturday/month (rota)
Nuco Solutions are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Operative (CSO) to join our client's busy and supportive Domestic Gas team. Based in a call centre, you'll play a key role in ensuring customers and engineers receive a high-quality, professional service across multiple contact channels – including phone, email, and live chat.
Role Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service, always aiming to get it right the first time
*
Handle inbound calls from customers, engineers, and clients, scheduling appointments in line with contract requirements
*
Manage engineers’ diaries and book service visits
*
Approve engineer timesheets and provide administrative support to the gas department
*
Monitor and action escalation reports to ensure prompt resolution of issues
*
Contribute to the smooth running of the department through effective team collaboration
Requirements
*
Experience in a busy call centre or customer service role
*
Gas or home maintenance experience is a plus, but not essential
*
Calm, composed, and professional phone manner, especially under pressure
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
*
Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to work
*
Ability to take initiative and demonstrate a strong work ethic
*
Understanding of delivering best value and driving continuous improvement
