Position: Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial management of construction projects, from inception to completion. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects

- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to ensure the most cost-effective solutions are implemented

- Manage and negotiate contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers

- Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to clients and management

- Identify and manage potential risks and issues related to cost and budget

- Evaluate and approve contractor payment applications

- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with contract specifications

- Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices

- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors within the team

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying

- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes

- Excellent numerical and analytical skills

- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS) is preferred but not required

Package Details


Standard pension, all business expenses paid for site visits, Christmas bonus, pay review after 3 months

Holiday Entitlement - 30days including Bank Holidays
