Overview
Due to a period of maternity absence we have a temporary opportunity for an EDI Change Portfolio Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious project lead to join our thriving Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) team at the University of Salford. As EDI Change Portfolio Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving positive change, supporting innovative projects, and embedding inclusive practices across the university. We’re seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for EDI, strong analytical skills, with strong experience in project co-ordination. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to making a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Project Co-ordination. Ability to plan, track, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
* Communication Skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to adapt style for different audiences.
* Interpersonal Skills. Ability to build trust and work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and at all organisational levels.
* Organisational Skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
* Analytical Skills. Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present findings clearly.
About the EDI Team
We are passionate about Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and want to make a difference. Our EDI team is small but supports the wider University in its ambitious EDI agenda. We are led by the Head of EDI Culture Change and work across all areas of the University with students, academics and professional services. Our role is to support and inspire colleagues, facilitating change through action.
Central to our work is Salford’s EDI Statement of Ambition (SoA), launched in July 2023, driving a whole-institution approach to EDI. The SoA focus is delivering change and we have a community of EDI Leads and Advocates across the University who are enabling, informing and helping to change practice to bring the SoA to life and deliver on our EDI goals. We aim to position Salford as a sector leader in EDI practice, and you can be part of our journey!
