IT Exams Technician

* West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds
* 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year - Permanent
* Salary: £ 24,570 - £ 25,401 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled individual to join our IT Services team as an IT Exams Technician. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth running of online examinations across the Group. You will work closely with the examinations team to provide dedicated IT support, maintaining exam platforms, ensuring secure connectivity, and resolving any technical issues quickly to minimise disruption and maintain exam integrity.
In addition to exam‑related responsibilities, you will provide high‑quality IT and customer support to staff and students, responding to technical queries via the Service Desk, email, phone or in person. The role also includes contributing to wider IT operations, assisting with hardware and software maintenance, managing user accounts, supporting Microsoft and general IT environments, and maintaining accurate service and asset records. A strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and a methodical approach to problem‑solving are essential.
