We are seeking a BE/BC Radiation Oncologist to join a comprehensive cancer care team within a not‑for‑profit health system in southwestern Virginia, providing cutting‑edge radiation oncology services in a highly supported, patient‑focused environment.
Practice Highlights & Environment
Outpatient radiation oncology practice with coordinated inpatient collaboration as needed
Average patient volume: ~25 patients under active treatment per day
Monday–Friday schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Strong emphasis on work‑life balance and multidisciplinary team‑based care
Commission on Cancer‑accredited program committed to high‑quality oncology standards
Collaborative, multidisciplinary cancer care team with strong referral network across a large regional health system
Integrated coordination and documentation supported by EPIC EMR
Technology & Clinical Resources This position offers access to advanced radiation oncology technology and a fully integrated cancer care environment, including:
Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator
Eclipse Treatment Planning System supporting SRS, SBRT, 3D, IMRT, and electron treatments
ARIA Oncology Information System for integrated patient coordination and workflow
Advanced imaging capabilities, including a new GE CT scanner with 4D gating system (coming 2025)
Comprehensive multidisciplinary oncology services, including medical oncology, hematology, and infusion therapy
