Offer description

Evaro is looking to do for healthcare what online banking has done for finance, and we’re looking for a JavaScript Engineer to help us do just that.

About the job

We’re looking to hire an experienced JavaScript Engineer to help us build beautiful, robust, and scalable digital health products using React, GraphQL, and Node. You’ll be working on tools that are actively improving access to healthcare across the UK and making a real difference in people’s lives.

While Evaro is based in Norwich, in the United Kingdom, this is a remote role and you’ll be collaborating with Developers, Designers, and other colleagues spread across Europe.

In this role

* Contribute to Node-based backend APIs that power patient-facing and internal tools
* Collaborate with Design, Product, and QA to deliver polished, accessible digital experiences
* Write clean, scalable, and well-tested code that can handle real-world healthcare use cases
* Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and sprint planning sessions
* Help shape the future of our digital health platform by contributing ideas and insights across the stack

Requirements

* 3+ years of professional experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+)
* Strong skills in React, including component architecture and state management
* Experience with GraphQL in production environments
* Experience building and maintaining Node.js applications and APIs
* Comfortable working in Git-based, agile environments with cross-functional teams
* Solid understanding of testing best practices and CI/CD workflows
* Passion for creating accessible, intuitive user experiences

Nice to Have

* Exposure to PHP (this is our back end language)
* Experience working in regulated industries (e.g. Healthcare/HealthTech, Finance/FinTech, Aerospace, Energy, Automotive)
* Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design
* Prior involvement in scaling early-stage products or startups

Perks

* Fully remote, flexible hours
* Paid project-based work with the option for more permanent collaboration
* Opportunities for professional growth and contribution to meaningful work
