Under the direction of the team leader, the theatre practitioner/anaesthetic/recovery nurse is accountable for organising and providing nursing care in the peri-operative setting. They will work to support the anaesthetic team to develop and maintain excellence in peri-operative practice.
You will also be the link between the anaesthetic team and other parts of the operating theatre and hospital.
Responsibilities include:

4. Working as part of the team to deliver high standards of patient care responsive to patient needs.

6. Working independently and collaboratively with external agencies, demonstrating professional standards.
7. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care programs in partnership with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
8. Focusing on health promotion with individual patients.
9. Managing workload delegated by a senior nurse by prioritising care appropriately.
10. Carrying out a range of anaesthetic, recovery, and obstetric clinical duties, providing a 24/7 service.
11. Recognising and responding appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
