About the Role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide individual and group support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2. The role may include assisting with learning activities, helping manage classroom behaviour, and offering support to children with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who require additional help. Assist in creating a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment. Help manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies. Support the development of pupils’ social and emotional skills. Contribute to record keeping and observations for pupil progress. Job Requirements: A strong interest in working with children in a primary school environment. Experience working with primary-aged children, either in a school or childcare setting. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
