As an AV Engineer at ALEC Technologies, you’ll lead the design, installation, and operation of large-scale, state-of-the-art audio-visual systems. This includes LED domes, 360° projection systems, spatial audio, and interactive media platforms. The ideal candidate thrives in cutting-edge environments and has experience delivering unforgettable, high-impact AV experiences.
Your Role
* Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of complex AV systems, including LED displays, projection domes, and immersive media environments.
* Collaborate with media architects, lighting designers, and content teams to create synchronized audio-visual experiences.
* Program and operate media servers, control systems, and networked AV devices.
* Troubleshoot real-time AV issues during testing and live events.
* Ensure AV systems are scalable, maintainable, and meet safety and technical standards.
* Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contractors.
What We’re Looking For
* Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Media Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in large-scale AV, immersive, or projection-based installations.
* Proficiency with media servers (e.g., Notch, Watchout, Disguise) and AV control systems (Crestron, Q-SYS, AMX).
* Experience with projection mapping, LED dome systems, and spatial audio setups.
* Strong understanding of networked AV systems, signal routing, and video/audio troubleshooting.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Top Skills
* Experience with large-scale venues or entertainment installations (e.g., arenas, theaters, concert venues).
* Knowledge of interactive or real-time content systems.
* Familiarity with 3D visualization and content pipelines for immersive environments.
