UK E-7 Integrity Management Lead Engineer

BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Through Life Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services.
This position is for an Integrity Management Lead Engineer who will be part of the UK E-7 Engineering Support team and shall report to the Engineering Support Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Structural Integrity Management:
o Providing support to the structural integrity (SI) management activities undertaken by the Design Organisation (DO)
o Conducting annual planning to identify and prioritise SI tasks and make recommendations to the DO, Mil CAM and TAA
o Responsible for working with DO to ensure UK E-7 SI management plans and Aircraft Structural Integrity Data Packages (ASIDP) are maintained
o Review and provide input to TAA’s integrity management plans, and support Integrity Management Working Groups
· Aircraft Usage Monitoring:
o Collecting and processing fleet usage data utilizing the UK E-7 specific structural health monitoring tool (note: the successful candidate will be trained in its use)
o Conducting quarterly and annual usage assessments, producing reports and providing them to the Mil CAM and TAA for their review
o Informing Customer of any faults identified during analysis of the aircraft’s HUMS, and monitoring structural usage data capture rates
o Supporting Statement of Operating Intent (SOI) reviews
· Condition Monitoring:
o Assisting with maintaining records of defects, inspections, repairs and modifications to primary structure
o Assisting DO with production and maintenance of Environmental Damage Control Plan
o Attending and providing support to the Environmental Damage Prevention and Control Working Groups
· Propulsion and Mechanical Systems Integrity Management Support:
o Assisting with creation and maintenance of integrity management plans for UK E-7 Wedgetail propulsion and mechanical systems
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
The successful candidate shall be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience;
· Degree from an accredited course of study, in aerospace, mechanical, civil, material science, or safety critical engineering
· Proven experience working on E-7 Wedgetail or similar fixed‑wing platforms (737, P-8) with practical knowledge of maintenance practices, interpretation of engineering drawings, and compliance with industry standards.
· Knowledge of materials science, corrosion mechanisms, fracture mechanics and structural analysis.
· Knowledge of UK MOD aircraft maintenance processes, policies, organisations, capabilities, and practices. (This is required in order to effectively represent the Customer within the Boeing Company.)
· Ability to analyse and interpret product data (such as engineering drawings, part lists, wiring diagrams and schematics)
· Expertise in non-destructive examination methods and condition monitoring technologies
· Familiarity with integrity management regulations, guidance material and standards (such as RA 5726, the MASIM, MIL-STD-1530)
· Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaboratively effectively with team members, other employees and external customers to deliver projects and resolve problems.
· Ability to direct, communicate clearly, delegate and ensure performance of assigned responsibilities and tasks as a lead engineer
This position will be hybrid with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. This may be adjusted as required to meet programme and business demands.
This position is contingent on contract award.
