It ensures competitive levels of service and quality while respecting deadlines agreed with customers.As Datacenter IT/RUN Maintenance Technician, you will provide level 1 support to datacenter teams, subsidiaries and OVHcloud customers as well as contribute to set up and maintain our datacenters. You will be part of a team of technician that operate 24/7, managed by a Team Leader.Your main responsibilitiesContribute to datacenter systems architecture and ensure 1st level of supportOptimize the racks for new serversConnect power and network cables within server and network racksWire the incoming cables and network within the racks respecting wiring schemeInstall / Uninstall servers as required by the DC Team Leader and in accordance with the operational planAssemble and install computer hardware (assemble / install / upgrade/ update servers)Adhere to health and safety rules and regulatory requirementsEscalate incident tickets to Level 2 support where appropriateContribute to Datacenter maintenance Complete interventions on the equipment in response to monitoring alerts or customer ticketsUpgrade the servers (change obsolete components)Undertake curative maintenance on delivered serversTroubleshoot technical issues using various tools: network, serversPerform regular established maintenance proceduresUnderstand and maintain cabling systemsReplace failed networking devices within racksImplement actions to resolve problems related to the server environmentEnsure servers are functioning properly via analysis and monitoringKeep asset databases up to dateManage and resolve system failures quicklyAssist team members with other relevant maintenance tasks within the DatacenterCoordinate activity with all 24/7 teams and help improve customer relationsContribute to the continuous improvement of the department, meeting the requirements set out in the quality management systemHelp maintain good customer relations and customer satisfaction on a daily basisEnsure information is shared between maintenance agents and provide reports to the Team LeaderRespect the schedule and targets set by the Team Leader Skills requiredA keen interest in IT and computer hardware products/componentsHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification in electronics / IT / MaintenanceA minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar roleExperience of building and maintaining computersAdvanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniquesEffective problem-solving abilitiesA team player with excellent communication skillsOrganized, autonomous and adaptableBasic knowledge of computer networkingWell-organized person and have the ability to prioritize tasksCustomer centric orientedAutonomousAttention to detail and a solution orientated approachPositive, energetic and proactive mindset
