Summary
We are looking for a friendly and confident person to join our small team. You will be supported to complete the day-to-day financial activities ranging from data entry to month-end management accounts and year-end financial statements.

Wage
£17,000 a year

Training course Assistant accountant (level 3)

Hours Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm. Your working hours will include college attendance and off-the-job training.
37 hours 30 minutes a week

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This apprenticeship is designed to develop the role of an Assistant Accountant and will involve communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely accounts.

Full training and mentoring provided for;
* Maintain purchase ledger and sales ledger
* Maintain cashback transactions
* Reconciling control accounts
* Monthly/Quarterly financial reporting
* Year-end account preparation
* Any other duties that fit with your role, add to your training and assist the team

What you'll learn
Course contents
* Assist with the investigation and response to financial information queries.
* Record and analyse financial data using the organisation's standard tools and processes.
* Apply double entry bookkeeping and accounting standards to process financial documents, generate financial statements and report financial information to users of accounts.
* Assist with production of accurate financial information for the preparation of accounts.
* Reconcile financial data, such as, preparation of reconciliations or review of reconciliations.
* Investigate, resolve or escalate transactional queries and errors within their remit as appropriate.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
* Communicate financial information in a way that non-finance stakeholders can interpret and understand.
* Utilise digital skills to present key financial information using finance and accounting software and applications.
* Use software packages to assist with basic accounting tasks in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
* Communicate using varying approaches and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.

Your training plan

Apprentices will be required to attend weekly college sessions with their instructor-mentor.

Requirements
Essential qualifications

GCSE in:
* English (grade 5 or above)
* Maths (grade 5 or above)

About this company
Minibus Options Ltd is a small enterprise based in Whaley Bridge, High Peak. Established in 1986, we have been manufacturing specialist vehicle conversions for accessibility and in this time, we have worked with many public and private sector clients across the UK to design and build over 5,000 Minibuses. We are a small team of around 30 employees, so you will get know the Company and Staff at all levels and see products move through all processes from beginning to end.
