Sitting within our Business Change & Readiness team, you’ll represent the business in the implementation of Underwriting deliverables, acting as a conduit between programme teams and Underwriting colleagues across Head Office and the Regions. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on problem-solving. You’ll lead engagement with senior stakeholders, ensure Underwriting teams are ready for change, and help resolve live issues during system and process migrations. You’ll also line manage and develop team members within the function, shaping the future structure as the programme evolves. Key Responsibilities Drive engagement across Underwriting areas impacted by the programme, ensuring robust communication and stakeholder views are captured and addressed. Partner with senior stakeholders to align programme deliverables with business expectations, securing buy-in for implementation decisions. Anticipate and assess risks, issues and impacts across Underwriting, proposing and executing action plans to mitigate them. Design, evidence and manage Critical Readiness Factors to support go-live decisions, in collaboration with governance leads. Lead change management activity, ensuring colleagues understand expectations, are engaged in the process and can contribute to successful outcomes. Support release planning and integration of change into BAU operations, ensuring continuity of service. Review and approve training materials and user guides, ensuring colleagues are fully prepared for system and process changes. Contribute to testing activity, helping ensure solutions are fit for purpose and deliver business objectives. Provide leadership, coaching and development to direct reports, and oversee future team structure as the programme matures. About youWe’re looking for an experienced change leader with strong Underwriting credibility, proven stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate confidently in a complex programme environment. You’ll be equally comfortable engaging senior leaders as you are resolving day-to-day delivery issues, with a strong focus on problem-solving and outcomes. Essential skills and experience: Strong background in Underwriting processes and technical credibility within the function. Demonstrable experience of stakeholder management within a strategic programme. Proven track record of delivering business change in a complex environment. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate a future vision. People management experience, ideally including line management in times of change.
