Job Description
My client is seeking a hands-on and commercially astute Interim Financial Controller to support their business during a period of transition and growth. This is a key role in a well-established £10m turnover SME based in Spalding, ideal for a confident finance professional who can hit the ground running. The Role:Reporting to the Managing Director and managing a small team, you will oversee the finance function and provide high-quality financial reporting and insight to help drive business performance. Key Responsibilities:
* Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts
* Manage cash flow, budgets, and forecasts
* Handle all core finance operations (AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations)
* Prepare year-end files and liaise with external accountants/auditors
* Provide financial analysis to support commercial decision-making
* Identify process improvements and implement efficiencies
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations
About You:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role, ideally in an SME
* Strong financial reporting, forecasting and analysis skills
* Able to work independently and deliver results quickly
* Available immediately or at short notice
