About The Role
* Business Development Executive - Leeds
* Location: Leeds, Hybrid – 3 days in the office & 2 days at home
* Contract: Full time, 37.5 hrs per week
* Package: competitive base salary with an uncapped commission and incentive-based rewards
Role Overview
* As the first point of contact for prospective customers, you’ll engage with leads generated through phone, website, and marketing campaigns. Your role is pivotal in qualifying prospects, understanding their needs, and driving sales across a varied customer base—ranging from individuals to SMEs and large organisations. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to managing enquiries, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate records of all sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly and qualify all inbound enquiries from multiple channels, including phone, website, and marketing campaigns.
* Guide customers through the entire sales cycle—from initial enquiry to closing—by preparing quotes and proposals.
* Analyse and interpret sales data to prioritise workload and identify high-potential opportunities.
* Utilise Salesforce to manage leads, track opportunities, and report on all sales activity.
* Maintain consistent outbound engagement for follow-ups and lead nurturing.
* Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring positive feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
* Continuously enhance your knowledge of our products and refine your sales techniques.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with teams across customer service, scheduling, finance, bids, and delivery.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Solid understanding of the sales cycle.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, from initial rapport to influencing decision-makers.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Minimum two years of B2B sales experience, engaging with stakeholders via email, phone, and face-to-face.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with high accuracy.
* Problem-solving skills and experience in resolving customer queries.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including CRM platforms.
* Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve results.
