We are looking for a dynamic officer to join the RN People Policy Team, working at the heart of the Deputy Director People Strategy area within the People and Training Directorate. This is a unique opportunity to influence policy and process that supports our people throughout their careers and ensures a positive, appreciate transition when they leave the Service. What You’ll Do: Drive policy development for Holistic Transition and Veterans, supporting JSP 100, BRd3 (1), Veterans Strategy, and Project Valour. Champion initiatives that help personnel and families prepare for life beyond the RN, ensuring they leave well and remain advocates for the Service. Engage with stakeholders across Defence, contribute to tri-service policy, and deliver innovative solutions to improve the lived experience. Support the development of the End-to-End Service Leaver process, shaping best practice for application across the Royal Navy and other services. Manage a raft of communications channels and messaging on the 3 pillars of Holistic Transition. Work in an agile environment using Jira, Scrum, and Sprint methodology to deliver rapid policy improvements. Who We’re Looking For: Experienced Lt Cdr with strong staff skills and a passion for people. Substantive Lt with a recommendation for promotion may apply for AHR. Ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Interest in shaping policy that impacts thousands of RN and RM personnel and their families.
