**Job Description**
Are you an experienced and dedicated leader in **elderly care** looking for a rewarding **Home Manager** role? We are a respected **nursing home** in Southminster seeking a dynamic **Non-Nurse Home Manager** to lead our team and ensure the highest standard of care for our residents.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven leader with a **NVQ Level 5** in Health and Social Care (or equivalent, e.g., **RMN** qualification) to take full operational responsibility for a thriving **care home**.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide strong, supportive leadership and day-to-day management of the **nursing home**.
* Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of **clinical** and personal care.
* Oversee **medication rounds**, ensuring all processes are followed safely and accurately.
* Work in partnership with the **Deputy Manager** and **Clinical Lead** to coordinate resident care plans and staff rotas.
* Manage the home's budget, resources, and staffing levels effectively.
* Act as the **Head of Care**, championing person-centred care and promoting the well-being and dignity of all residents.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the care team, including **Staff Nurses** and **Care Home Nurses**.
* Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and external **healthcare** professionals.
**Essential Requirements:**
* A minimum of **3 years' experience** as a **Home Manager**, **Care Home Manager**, or **Deputy Manager** within a UK **nursing home** environment.
* Must hold a relevant leadership qualification: **NVQ Level 5** in Health and Social Care .
* Proven experience managing **medication rounds** and comprehensive knowledge of CQC standards.
* Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of best practices in **elderly care**.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work autonomously and make decisive decisions.
