Building Caretaker (Permanent, Full-Time, ASAP Start)
Salary: £30,000Location: LondonHours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
One of our clients a fast-growing residential asset management organisation is currently recruiting for a Building Caretaker to join their team covering a couple of their properties near to you.Below is an overview of the role:Role: Building CaretakerLocation: Surrey/West LondonSalary: £30,000 per annumAssignment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeHours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pmAbout the RoleThe organisation manages a diverse portfolio of residential properties, including luxury, private, and social housing. Their London team is expanding and offers a supportive, professional environment with strong opportunities for growth.You will be responsible for ensuring the building is clean, safe, secure, and well maintained. This is a hands-on position based across two sites (3 days at one site, 2 days at another), acting as a key point of contact for residents, contractors, and the internal property team.Key responsibilities include:
* Cleaning and maintaining communal areas
* Daily inspections and defect reporting
* Waste management and prevention of pest issues
* Managing visitor/contractor access and security
* Carrying out minor household repairs and maintenance
* Weekly compliance and safety checks
* Supporting Estates, Maintenance, and Lettings teams as required
What they’re looking for:
* Experience in residential maintenance, caretaking, or handyperson roles
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety in housing environments
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
* IT-literate and comfortable with reporting processes
