Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing personalised care and assistance to individuals in care homes or home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to supporting clients in achieving their independence and wellbeing. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs. Duties
* Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management
* Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment
* Support clients with household tasks including cleaning, cooking, and laundry
* Accompany clients on outings or appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client needs
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
Experience
* Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
* Knowledge of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly is advantageous
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes are required
* Good command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication
* Driving experience and a valid driving licence are preferred to facilitate client transportation
* Strong communication skills are vital for building trust and rapport with clients and team members
